Shortcut

Ananta Farmhouse is a beautiful heritage farmhouse, located on the bank of the Indrayani River in Kamshet.

What Makes It Awesome

This 3-bedroom property is rustic but gorgeous, and we think it'd make the perfect monsoon getaway for you and your squad (it sleeps 9 people). Each of the rooms here has plenty of natural ventilation and superb views. The farmhouse was built in a typical Wada-style, and the owner has done a great job decorating it with colourful modern touches, without making it garish.

Enjoy a stroll through their yard full of fruit-bearing trees and colourful flowers, or snuggle up with a book indoors. Sip on a hot cup of chai and watch the sunrise from their lovely verandah (with an old-school swing), and watch the sunset from the gazebo overlooking the river. Delicious traditional Maharashtrian meals are available at extra charge, and you can bring your own alcohol and snacks as well.

What Could Be Better

There is unavoidable load-shedding (power cuts) by the MSEB on Thursdays, though the property does have a backup inverter. We also wish this house was pet-friendly – since it seems like the perfect spot to vacay with your doggo.

Pro-Tip

If you're the adventurous kind, you can go paragliding at Nirvana Adventures - also in the Kamshet area. Read more here. Hot air balloon rides, kayaking, and other water sports are also available nearby.
