What started off as a passion project 4 years ago, soon became a full-time job for Anuja and Parikshit Vilekar – founders/owners of Cloves Catering. Famous for their many different kinds of biryani and their CKP Maharashtrian fare, you won’t see their style of food on Restaurant menus anywhere else in the city. We’ve heard high praises of their biryanis, and suggest you try their Ratnagiri-style kachche murgh ki biryani, double decker biryani, Nawabi tarkari biryani, and their Cloves Special veg biryani.
From their regional fare, try the CKP-style crab/chicken/mutton curries, chicken sukkha in home-ground spices, kheema and pea pattice, kadvya vaalacha birdhe {bitter cluster bean curry} and sodey bharli vaangi {dried prawn stuffed brinjal}. Pricing for the smallest biryani portion starts at INR 550 for 1/2kg {feeds 3-4 people}, and can go up to INR 2200 – 2300 per kg. Their wide variety of starters will cost you approximately between INR 500 – 900 per plate {a portion for 4 people}, or per dozen cutlets/pattice.
