So I recently went to Chef & Spice in Destination Centre, Magarpatta. DC is all about small, casual and no nonsense outlets where you grab a quick bite and walk off. However, this place outdoes all the other outlets in DC when compared over ambience and food quality.
I had visited with my group, so we got to try lot of different things here and I was honestly impressed.
APPETIZERS
American Corn Fritters-
Delicious and spicy corn fritters served with some salad in a boat shaped serving plate. Looked and tasted amazing.
Honey Chilli Potato-
This was humongous in size. We loved the giant serving portion it had as it helped us all share in a group. It was flavorful and crisp till the last bit unlike other places where the fries get soggy soon enough.
Chilly Paneer-
This was deliciously done. The blend of the Chinese sauces was perfect and it had right amount of spices to make it a tangy offering.
Nachos Bhel -
Heaven for Nacho lovers and spicy eaters like me. They gave a delicious desi twist to the classic nachos and the result was simply outstanding. Loved it.
Schezwan Noodles -
This was served in a big bowl with some beautiful Vegetable art in the centre. I really liked the way they took so much time and effort to present a dish neatly, as if you're eating at a good fine dine place. Not to forget, it tasted great!
Penne Arrabiata Pasta -
Thick and creamy Arrabiata sauce was really good. The pasta was cooked properly, served hot and was worth savoring.
Panner Butter Masala -
I found it a little sweet for my liking, as I'm one of those spicy freaks. But the overall preparation was rich and creamy. The Paneer pieces were small sized, which made it easier to grab a bite with your chapati.
Frozen Herbal Pan -
An amazing ending to a sumptuous meal at Chef & Spice. It was neatly packed and served cold. Totally refreshing!
OVERALL:
A wonderful experience. Although the rates might look a little more than DC standards, but the quality of the food they serve is amazing. The meals will give you a restaurant kind of feels with beautiful plating and presentation. They have an amazing service and food tastes great.
