Home to over 100 embroidered prints, National at Clover Centre is one of the most sought-after fabric stores on MG Road. From handcrafted floral work on pastel tones to sophisticated silk brocade, delicate chikan and gorgeous Benarasi fabric, this place is a one-stop store for all your wedding woes. We checked out these beautiful nylon net fabrics in blush pink with handwoven silver embroidery and pretty flowery patterns. Priced at INR 2,100 for a metre, this piece is perfect for those one-of-a-kind cocktail gowns. If pink isn’t the colour for you, check out fabrics in brighter shades like mustard yellow, vermilion, turquoise, fuchsia, and more.

Ramgir Textorium

If you love all things edgy then head to Ramgir, a 40-year-old fabric store at Wonderland on MG Road. They have a massive collection of silk and cotton fabrics in the quirkiest prints you could ever imagine – Buddha, elephant, temple leaves, and peacock. The best part about these prints is that they can be used any way you’d like- for a crop top, a kurti, a cushion cover, or a long jacket. Priced at INR 150 per metre (each), we picked a black and red Kathakali print cotton fabric (for a flowy summer dress) and a royal blue Manipuri silk fabric with bold mudra prints (for a fun shift dress).

Nazakat

The best collection of cotton ikkats we found was at Nazakat Fabrics in Camp. They have some great stuff in colorful triangles, checks in pink, red, and grey, hand-spun patterns, and more. We picked this pretty neat sky and dark blue mix ikkat print for INR 250 per metre. You can also check out their phulkari and tie-dye cotton fabrics, ranging between INR 400 and INR 800 per metre.
