What Makes It Awesome

After a great run at Hinjewadi, one of Pune's most pocket-friendly bar, Thikana, opens up a second outlet on FC Road. With live music and sports screening till late at night, the ambience of the new place has been kept to minimal - earthen tones, bricked walls, comfy seating area and yellow lights.

Foodwise too, there hasn't been any change on the carte. We continue to love the Thikana specials - mirch malai seekh for INR 330, nimbu prawns for INR 320 and desi tacos for INR 210. We highly recommend you try the sharabi puckha for INR 280. This deadly combo of a street food is made of Bengali-style panipuri with three flavoured water and tequila.

For main course, must-try the dahi gosht for INR 360 and the paneer rubani for INR 310. And since it's the season of joy, don't leave Thikana without trying their decadent tiramisu with rum biscuits with INR 280.

Anything Else?

We hear the beer cocktails at Thikana are to die for. And, we can totally vouch for the beerita, which is a concoction of classic margarita and beer, for INR 199. If you're feeling brave tonight, we recommend you go for the drop-me-home shooter for INR 399. With a deadly combination of tequila, Triple Sec, Jägermeister and Red Bull, perhaps, you would really need someone to drop you home!

What's more? Draught beers at Thikana start from INR 95 for a mug of 300ml. However if you're the cocktail kinds and love your tea to the core, must-try the cutting chai for INR 349. It's chai that's been twisted with white rum, lime, mint and tea syrup.
