If you’re looking for one of the best Stouts in India or the hoppiest American style IPAs, your search ends here. Independence Brewing Co makes an amazing stout, Ixcaco. Named after the Mayan goddess of chocolate, this rich, smooth, velvet Guinness like nitro stout is made with real cocoa nibs and bourbon vanilla making one want to savour eat each sip.

For in your face hop loaded IPAs that you typically find in the US, you’ll always find at least one or two American style IPAs or Pale Ales at Independence. They are funded by one of the co founders of brewing giants Stone Brewing Co and you’ll notice the beers here are proof of attention to detail. If you like wheat beers and lighter styles, you’ll find a German style Hefewizen and Belgian wit as well as a blonde or Saison on tap. Also look for some fruit infused beers here.

Get some cider on the menu perhaps. Unlike other brewpubs in the area, Independence refuse to make ciders which technically aren’t beers but taste great.

Best time to go – early evening when it’s cooler and head to their outdoor deck – the best spot. Don’t forget to ask for a beer flight {sampler}. Sunday brunches here are great value for money, as is their happy hour specials on Mondays.
