What Makes It Awesome?

The Good old Bombay, during the British era, was a land of opportunities, where many came from different parts of the globe and settled and made it big. Pancham Das Sharma of Agra’s Adhet village was one of them who hopped on a Bullock cart and made his way over 1,000 km to this land and ever since fed millions his delicious variety of Puris.

The name Pancham means the fifth and they serve 5 lip-smacking puris in one serving. The variety includes stuffed puris with a special Masala, spinach, paneer and more. Served with delicious aloo subzi, the spiced potato and chilly pickle, it makes a wholesome, nutritious meal. One thing I found was the quality of the oil and other ingredients is very good and not compromised. One should not miss their chaas and lassi it's too good.

This place since inception has served the wandering travellers, city immigrants, the construction workers of the great heritage sites of the city, many graded officers and ranked personals and many more and have managed to keep the flavours yet the same.  This place has been favourite of many well-known personals like the veteran artist M F Hussain, actor Rajesh Khanna and many more.

Just a hop away, outside the CST station the former Victoria Terminus, this place now stands on a corner of a busy lane with all the modernization. Your trip to Mumbai is not complete without a stop here at Pancham Puriwala.
