What Makes It Awesome

Brainchild of Jagruti Jain, Araatrika is a Pune-based stationery store that makes eco-friendly diaries, pencils, mugs, bamboo straws and seed papers. The products are handcrafted beautifully with traditional fabrics, patterns and vibrant colours.

If you are a stationery nerd who loves all things homegrown and sustainable, Araatrika is the place for you. We recommend you check out their hand-stitched, upcycled diaries made of waste fabric and paper collected from various printing presses across the city.

Another product that highly impressed us is the recycled plantable pencil made of newspapers. We hear these pencils have seed capsules on the end and once they are short enough you can plant these. The pencils will eventually grow into vegetables.

What's more? Araatrika has a great collection of bamboo straws that can be reused upto 70-80 times. They also have a great range of colourful seed-embedded paper that can be used as greeting cards, invites and visiting cards. Additionally, don't forget to check them out for elegant terracotta mugs, pots, coasters and plates.
