What Makes It Awesome?

On the busy streets of Viman Nagar, you might have not noticed this store easily. But, on our hunt for bandhani stores, we stumbled upon Sanskruti Bandhani House, below Cafe Beans Talk that also has a few cool accessories.

The store is a humble one with not much dazzle to it (like your stores in Peth areas). We suggest you go to the store before sunset to see things in natural light.

The store has a simple collection when it comes to bandhani. It's suitable for everyday use. The store sells dress materials, sarees, kurti materials, a few scarves and dupattas. Their dress pieces start at INR 500 and a few selected, which are elaborately embroidered go up to INR 1500. Their kurti materials start at INR 400, and can go upto INR 1000.

If you are not a fan of getting clothes stitched, you can also select from their readymade clothes too. They have simple yet beautiful kurtis and since it is summer time, the store has stocked up on fresh designs and pastel colours. The kurtis that we saw seemed perfect to wear to work since they were extremely comfortable and light.

Apart from their clothing, Sanskruti also has a good collection of everyday jewellery. We found jhumkas with gonda, tassels, and other trinkets, which seemed like oxidised silver, but weren’t. This gave them an antique look that’s pretty much still in trend. We also found boxes full of thick kadas and bangle sets in various styles. These earrings and kadas should not cost you more than INR 300. The store also has a small collection of handmade hand bags and butwas that start at INR 100.

Pro-Tip

You can buy material in bulk here and bargain for a reasonable price. The shop also has tailoring and stitching options so you can always ask them for the services.
