Thai food is one of the most popular East-Asian cuisines in the world, owing to their big, bold, flavours and complementary food pairings. If you’re looking for a solid Thai meal in Pune, look no further than Thai House Restaurant in Bopodi.

Tell Me More

Run by a Thai family, the food here is as authentic as it gets in Pune. From familiar favourites like tom yum soup, som tum salad {raw papaya salad}, pad Thai noodles, and red curry; to Thai classics like ‘Thai Toast Supreme’, laab gai {minced chicken tossed in a lemon and fish sauce dressing}, and keang-phar {a Thai curry, sans coconut milk}.

The menu is divided into veg and non-veg, with the vegetarian section featuring a smaller selection of dishes. The portions are quite generous, so you certainly won’t be leaving here on an empty stomach. Of course, there is an assortment of Thai curries {red, yellow, green, and Pa-nang}, as well as rice and noodle, bowls available {which we’re dying to try out}, too. Wash it all down with a chilled Thai iced tea, longan juice {nam-yam-lai}, or a cup of hot Thai green tea.

We recommend ordering from the ‘Chef’s Recommended’ menu, featuring specials like their special phad kar-prow {chicken/seafood sauteed with fresh basil leaves and chili}, ‘sesami’ wings, and Thai House’s special deep-fried ice cream {for dessert}.

So, We're Saying...

Go on an empty stomach, and be adventurous in your choices! Thai House is small but tastefully decorated and offers both indoor and al fresco seating options {for 20-25 people at most}. The food is delicious and reasonably priced. They also offer home-delivery to select areas nearby. Stay tuned to their Facebook page for all the latest updates from their kitchen.
