What Makes It Awesome?

So with 2019 coming to an end, thought why not rejoice me with the flavours of some good food. So dropped by this newbie in Baner one fine weekday for lunch and honestly, Ya Basa is quite interesting and the interiors, once you enter, can be addictive. The decor is as desi as it gets with comfortable seating arrangements, vibrant lightning and colourful drapes. The menu is quite interesting and so let's start with the food deal, shall we?

To cool off all the spices from the heavy dishes, their Solkadhi was the best and quite different from the ones I had tried in recent times. So I started with their Lemon Coriander Veg and Prawns soup. Well both the soup was simple and taste-wise decent enough.

Then moving over to the starters had Paneer Lapeta which was full of flavours and juicy. Loved the concept! The Chicken Poti was something different and tasty. Sought of balls with a delicious filling of stuffed chicken. Would recommend this! From the seafood starter, the presentation for both Crab and Fish Tawa was on point! Loved the crab, it had a fragrant medley of spices and aromatics. The fish could have been still better, did not seem fresh. Prawns Butter Garlic had an amazing flavour combination of garlic and butter, it was simple and delicious! Then from the Veg starters, Mushroom Green Sauce was the best one and liked by all! The Paneer Chilli was made with a flavorful spicy sauce. The paneer pieces could have been softer even though the taste was decent enough.

From the main course, so many options to choose from! but then we went ahead with Paneer Lababdar, Special Chicken Haveli Ki Tang, Manglorian Surmai Curry, Butter Chicken, Veg Hyderabadi and Biriyani. The Special Haveli Ki Tang and Butter Chicken tasted quite well with Wade and Amboli roti. The main course was delicious and the quantity was good enough. The Mangalorean Surmai Curry tasted good when paired with dosa. Seafood lovers do have a variety of options to choose from!

The entire meal ended on a sweet note with their hot Gulab Jamun and Gajar Halwa. Both the taste were decent enough!

One should drop by here to gorge onto some scrumptious food.
