Try something a little different, with your mum – like Maker’s Club’s workshop on hand-painting wooden jewellery! You and your mum will each get to make a beautiful hand-painted wooden necklace, using the materials provided (base pendant, tassels, string, colours brush and varnish), and take it home! This workshop will cost you INR 1300 per head (inclusive of materials) and will take place at Papertells from 2.30 pm – 5.30 pm (details here). If wooden jewellery’s not your thing, check out a handmade soap-making workshop by artist Ritika Shah. Through the workshop, you’ll learn to make 12 varieties of luxurious soap like herbal soap, shea butter soap, sugar scrub soap – to name a few. Charges for this workshop are INR 2000 per head, and you’ll get to take home all 12 soaps when you’re done. The class will take place on Sunday (May 13) at Ekattha – The Design Studio, from 2 pm – 5 pm; and you can contact +91 99224 90501 to register or visit the event page here for more info.
