Kaas Plateau is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it has around 150 or more types of flowers, shrubs, and grasses. The best time to visit this place is from August till September which depends on the climate. The good news is this year you can see the fully bloomed flowers till October 15, 2018, instead of September 30 since the flowers started blooming later than their normal schedule.
Tickets can be bought directly at the plateau or online. I suggest buying the same online since there is a restriction of the number of visitors in a day, and it would be a huge disappointment if you are denied entry after travelling so far.
The entry fee charge is INR 100 (no entry fee for children below the age of 12 years and senior citizens (anybody aged 65 and/or above). Make sure you carry your ID proof.
Reach Gate No. 2, and you will find the famed Valley of Flowers in full bloom. There are so many different varieties of flowers. The only hitch is that this side has barricades on both sides of the dedicated pathway which ensures that flowers are not disturbed by human interference and cruelty.
Oh, and you should also check out the small pond which is surrounded by purple and pink flowers. I suggest you stay till the sunset so that you can witness the magical beauty of the scenery, which seems to have come straight out of a painting.
