Handmade soaps are a relatively recent concept for me. I didn't grow up using them and it is only in the last few years (cue my introduction to all-time favourite, Lush) that I have fallen in love with them. What's great about handmade soap is that they are gentler on the skin, made with care and quality trumps quantity for sure. And that's what drives the idea behind Mrija Pure, too - a passion for creating skincare that's chemical free and good for the skin.&nbsp;Aruna, the founder of Mrija Pure, started the brand as a passion project. A love for creating beautiful soaps that not only smelled good but also cared for the skin, naturally, was something she was inspired to do. All the while taking inspiration from nature and all the benefits Mother Earth has to offer. Infused with natural herbs, clays, minerals, and essential oils, her soaps are evocative and earthy. And what drew me to the brand is that the soaps have a playful quality to them as well, with fun colours and textures that pep up otherwise boring soap bars.&nbsp;With fun colours and textures, these soaps are a nice way to pamper your skin as well as make bath time fun. Wondering which ones to try out? Well, there's a Calming Lavender that's infused with lavender essential oils, a Red Clay Soap that's got all the goodness of red clay, and a Forest Woods with kokum and tulsi.&nbsp;Expect to shell out between INR 160 to INR 250 per soap bar. They come in 85 and 100 gm options.&nbsp;

We found a reliable friend for our skin in the form of hand made artisan cold process soaps from online bath and body brand Mrija.&nbsp;The soaps don't contain harsh chemicals, detergents or synthetics. Rather they are made using essential oils and butters with healing properties. You might want to start by exploring the handcrafted soap collection first. Cuteness alert: they are adorable! We couldn't help but put the flower-shaped cold process soaps (namely honeysuckle and apple sage) in our cart. The set of two animal-shaped soaps will be perfect for your kids, and they can't enough of it.Check out the hand made confetti soaps which are a mixture of various colours and a potpourri of scents. The confetti soap is a beautiful, fragrant blend of vanilla, spiced pumpkin, golden amber and top floral notes. We also loved the fancy top soap which is embellished with blue and yellow&nbsp;flowers on the top and fragrances of jasmine, sandalwood, musk, and a hint of rose.Mrija also boasts a herbal collection of soaps filled with&nbsp;herbs like Rakta Chandanam, Arjuna Powder, Avaram Senna, and Haritaki, among others.
