If your home decor board on Pinterest has more images saved than any of your other boards, then you're going to love The Skilled Samaritan! It's a brand that sells pretty, up-cycled home decor online. The Skilled Samaritan is an NGO that works with women of disadvantaged communities to construct modern, and chic versions of the Charpai&nbsp;with the help of the traditional weaving techniques.&nbsp;They build stools, trunks, trays, bags, and also, some really pretty storage boxes out of waste products like plastic wrappers and fabric rags. So basically, the wonderful team at Skilled Samaritan creates a rope out of these waste products and then, weaves them against metal, or wooden frames (just like our desi charpai beds).&nbsp;We personally love their Bulbul Trunk Box (INR 5,500), Charpai Trousseau Trunk (INR, 7,200), Dare-y Milk (A trunk made of thrown away dairy milk wrappers) and their Spiker bench (INR 8,500) made of&nbsp;cotton fibre macrame ropes and Jamoa wood.&nbsp;

Find Charpai Tables & Decor Weaved Out Of Waste On This E-Store

I discovered skilled Samaritan a while ago at a local exhibition. Their product range on their website has diversified A LOT over the past couple of years- but my favourite continues to be their charpoy. I bought this classic cream and white charpoy about 2 years ago (2018), and it's rock solid. Barring the little damage my dogs did to the strings. They've recently also launched a Make Your Own Charpoy type service, where you can choose colours and patterns for your own charpoy. 

I love that the folks at SS support local artisans through each purchase- check out their website for information on the Community they empower in Sirohi. Full marks to SS for great quality, quick delivery and making products that last. They were quick to respond to questions as well.

You don't have to look too far to get your hands on their aesthetic decor (unless you want something custom-made) because The Skilled Samaritan is now available on Shop On LBB. You must definitely check out the Light Boxes and Jute Planter.
