Tropical To Neutral: 12 Real Bedroom Designs By Ace Designers Around The World
Play With Colours
This simple yet playful bedroom interior design is a testament that you can even make a small place super fun and vibrant. This design has everything — a functional side table, a patterned rug, a pink door and even an accent chair — yet is balanced out with bursts of white with the white lamp, curtains and bedsheet. Beautifully done by Avery Cox Designs.
Dark Colours And Windows
If you have a small room with lots of windows, then you can dare to play with dark colours just like this bedroom design idea. The room is a dark blue colour with patterned blinds of the same base colour, which doesn’t visually break the room.
Pro-Tip: Here's how you can make your small room more functional.
Use Art To Your Advantage
Fellow aesthetes will love this one. Adding paintings and art in any part of your home is a lovely idea to transform an otherwise basic bedroom interior into something more magnificent and awe-inspiring. I have to admit that I also love the choice of table lamps in this one.
Maximalist With A Hint Of Vintage
If you love everything extra and cute, then you'd probably love this over-the-top bedroom design idea. It's pink and it has ruffles, what more can you ask? The design uses four colours excessively and uses one type of pattern to accentuate areas of the room. From curtains and walls to bedsheets and cupboards — everything is cohesive in a very extra manner.

Statement Wall
Now, if you like your room to be a classic white colour but still want it to look different than the usual white room, then I'd suggest taking inspiration from this design by Cindy Sherman's New York apartment designed by Billy Cotton, which was also featured in Architectural Digest. The bed frame and the walls have a wavy texture, almost mimicking curtains all around the room. This sort of design is definitely a statement in itself and doesn’t need more elements, but sure, you can add wall art like done here to add a pop of colour.
Keep Focus On The Bed
The bed is the most important component of your room, and this design brings the focus right there. The bed frame is a contrasting navy blue colour to the muted lilac walls. The bedframe is a wavy design, which, in my opinion, looks very unique and nice. The high ceiling walls have been utilised well with wall panelling, and there's a sense of symmetry with the side tables and white lamps on both sides.
Calming Neutral Tones
There's nothing better than keeping a neutral colour palette when looking to create a space that's relaxing and calming. A lot of Betsy Brown's designs are heavily inspired by neutral tones, mostly brown tones just like this bedroom interior design. Rug, sofa, curtain, chair, table and the smaller details like lamps and coffee table books are kept very cohesive in this design. Layers are added to the room by using different shades of brown, and the sunlight that comes through the door only accentuates this design further.
Hotel Inspired Room
If your aesthetic is somewhat resembling a hotel room, then you'll probably like what Oreo Studios has done here. It's a contemporary-style room design that looks comfortable, cosy and calm with space for lounging as well in front of the huge windows.
White Bedroom Design
White reflects light and can make even the smallest of rooms feel more spacious. Here, the walls, bed and chair are kept white while some light brown is added through side tables and a console table. The only colour in the room is added by a piece of art on the side wall of the room, which makes sure that the room is not boring!
Pro-Tip: We have some white living room ideas too!
Cutesy Bedroom Inspiration
If the 'soft girl' aesthetic was a home trend then this is probably what it would look like. Cloud-shaped headboard, vintage light and mirror, red-coloured sofa, red printed bedspread with lots of sunlight. This bedroom interior is what happiness would look like as home decor.
Tropical Inspired
Wallpapers are the best and the easiest way to add some drama to your bedroom walls, and if it's a tropical design you're looking for (we've loved this since we saw Sonam Kapoor's London home), then this design by Temple Town is one of the best we've come across. Using soft colour palettes, highlighting with rattan side tables and dreamy tropical walls.
