With hot and cool settings, and an extra attachment that helps with concentrated, narrow drying, so busy girls (and guys), this one’s for you. Three of the folks at LBB have also used this, one of whom has had the same model since about 2011. Light but durable, this one is quite powerful.

This cute, futuristic looking hair dryer is equally powerful. More so with the Ananya Panday signature on it. OK, we don't really know if that helps, but for someone with hair as gorgeous as her's, we're hoping she really has put her money where her mouth is, with this collection. Vega is known for their stellar range of hair and beauty gadgets, and being an Indian company, they know the needs of Indian women through and through. With a low, and high heat setting, the dryer is great for styling (did we mention it has an auto-heat cut off). It's also got a Cool Shot button, for professional styling. 

Favourite Feature: Cool Shot button. This one blasts extra cold air to ensure your set-and-styled hair doesn't go out of place. It keeps your style that much more intact.

Non curlies, don’t worry, the dryer has a nozzle for concentrated drying and styling too. Oh, and men, it says for women. Ignore that!

OK, I confess to cheating a little bit here! This one was actually not under INR 3,000 but on discount (which it almost always is) is INR 2,999, so win for me and you! A trusted German brand, Carrera electronics are almost always professional, yet affordable. This one is a travel dryer that comes with a foldable handle and travel bag. But what I like most is that it's got a two-speed control and the motor is quite powerful. And for someone like me, with really thick hair, it's needed to tame those locks! The air is also infused with argan oil and keratin to make for smoother hair and that is all one can really ask for! 

Favourite Feature: It's foldable, light and blows out keratin and Argan oil-infused air so the heat isn't damaging.

Rating: I rate this a good 9/10 as I use it, but Amazon gives it a 4/5 out of 500 users, with one review giving a proper lowdown on the product. Check it out here.

An old favourite of mine, which I am convinced was actually created in the 90s but just gets updated each year, this one by Panasonic is economical and magical!  It's light and easy to use, though sometimes, it's a bit too lightweight. So if you are blessed with super thick and curly hair, then don't expect it to dry or straighten too quickly. The cool shot button is my most loved feature as it's one of the few dryers that don't run out of steam on the cold blow. It styles the hair equally well on both cold and hot options. So at INR 1,595 on full price, it's a real bargain.

Not sure if this counts as a hair dryer, but how could we not add a blow brush when it's been all the hype recently? And as long it dries your hair properly, we don't think anyone has a problem with it. You can use this Blo Brush to straighten or curl your hair, and yes, you can use it straight out of the shower with minimal towel drying as well. The good part is that you don't have to use a styling brush and hair dryer because this does the job of both in half the time. It's got three-speed controls and helps with frizzy hair. However, if you live in a humid area, you know that no hair dryer or product can tame the frizziness.
