Since the weather is unreliable and winter is not going away anytime soon, you know what that means – time to switch up your skincare routine for that dewy, glowy goodness all season long. Whether you have oily skin, dry skin or sensitive skin, all skin types suffer through the winters in India as the days are weirdly hot or at least sunny and it gets unreasonably chilly at night. The result? Your skin becomes irritated, dry, flaky and unprotected.

The only solution to this is not an instant one, but rather developing a consistent skincare routine which helps your skin stay hydrated 24/7, and if you still don't know where to begin then let us take you into a deep dive of how you should develop one.

Before we get to the routine, memorise the following points by heart:

Don't be partial, winter skincare is about taking care of your whole body and not just your face.

Say no to scorching showers, and opt for lukewarm water instead to keep your skin happy and hydrated. Trust us, it's the secret to that dewy glow you're after.

It's all about hydration, guys. No matter what skin type you are, do not forget to moisturise. If you have a dry skin type, then reach for heavy, cream-based products and if you're prone to oily skin, go for water or gel-based formulas to keep it light on your skin, yet lock in the moisture

Don't forget or ignore to put on those eye creams, hand creams, and foot creams to show some of that extra tender, love and care to your skin

Follow an AM and PM ritual, as both, morning and night routines play different roles in keeping your skin healthy, especially in winter. Your morning routine is all about protection. Whereas, your night routine is to repair and correct. Maintaining consistency while following any skincare routine is key to avoiding issues like dryness, acne, and dullness.

Last but not least, choose your products wisely. Not all skin is the same, so make sure you're using the right products for your skin type. Whether you're oily, dry, or somewhere in between, there's a skincare routine out there that is just perfect for you and will give you that glowy, dewy skin you are striving for.

LBB tip:

If you don't know how to identify your skintype, cleanse your face gently and then don't apply anything onto it for about 20-30 minutes.

After which if your skin feels tight and dry you have dry skin type.

If your face feels sticky and oily then you have an oily skin type.

If your skin is oily in some places (such as the T-zone or chin) and dry in some on your face, then you have a combination skin.

But if your skin feels sensitive and irritable without using any product, then you have sensitive skin.

If it's none of the above then you have normal skin ( and we're jealous of you).
