We all need someone who can tell us exactly what celebrities, influencers, tastemakers, founders, movers, and shakers have in their little black book. So, we became that person, and we’re shining the spotlight on Michelin-star celebrity chef and restaurateur—David Myers. His love for fitness and passionate excellence for food are well-known, and we got to experience that enthusiasm in person during our recent interaction with him at the launch of his new menu for Adrift Kaya, Aerocity. The conversation flowed as he shared his love for Japan and kebabs, his next Goa trip, and some of the behind-the-scenes of the new dishes created. We also asked him about some of his favourite things and brands that he certainly cannot do without, and now we have a substantial list of things we need to try as well. Read on to learn about some of David Myer's favourite things across categories, and immerse yourself in the world of finer taste.

Tebasaki Chicken Wing

When asked what his favourite dish from the new menu at Adrift is, he said, "From the new menu, I really like the Tebasaki Chicken Wing here, and I can have at least 12 of them at any given point."

Delhi

David frequently travels to India, so naturally, we asked him about his favourite city. He said, "I have only been to two places here, and I'm really hard-pressed to say which one I love the most. Probably Delhi though, because I have been here the most, but I had an awesome time in Mumbai as well. I am also looking forward to going to Goa next, I really want to experience Goa."

Sipsmith Gin

Big on cocktails and drinks, we had to ask him about his favourite spirit. He said, "I am a gin guy, and I prefer Sipsmith. My go-to drink is always a gin martini. My current favourite drink at Adrift is the matcha highball, which is just delicious. I had it in Japan once, and I couldn't believe how good it was, so we made our own version of it. It's just matcha, honey, lemon, club soda, and whiskey, and it is amazing."

Timothy Oulton

"Timothy Oulton designed all of our furniture here, and I also visited their studio in Delhi. It's a beautiful old house, and it's such a cool place, I feel like moving in every time I go".

"I love perfumes, and one of my absolute favourites is Ett Hem by Fuegia. It's also my favourite hotel in Stockholm, and it's meant to be reminiscent of that. They have really pretty boutique stores as well. I also like Byredo for their amazing scents and really cool philosophy."

Japan

Always exploring and inspired by his new creations and dishes, we asked him about his favourite travel destination. He said, "My favourite travel destination is always my next one. But I really couldn't get enough of Japan. I love coming to India, I love Bali, and Southeast Asia in general. I like Africa as well; it's so vibrant, and I want to go to Rwanda next."

Gordon Ramsay

"I love Gordon Ramsay, I love his presence on TV, and I love the fact that he is not only an incredible chef but also naturally funny. Such a great mentor to all the chefs and a close personal friend. I also love Emeril Lagasse; he is one of the first celebrity chefs and a very cool guy."

Emily In Paris

"Emily In Paris is really funny. I love the fact that they brought in a chef, who is trying to acquire a Michelin star and open his own restaurant. I think it's super fun."

James Pierre

"I love James Pierre t-shirts from LA, they have the best t-shirts in the world. I have so many of their black, white, and lighter shades of black, with really great quality. I also love old-school Levis."

Killspenser

"I love travelling, and I cannot do without my Rimowa. I carry them everywhere and have quite a few of their products. There is also a really cool bag brand that I use for my backpacks from LA called Killspenser. They are an artisanal bag brand, and it's pure luxury."
