10 Of The Most Stunning Deepika Padukone Cannes Looks Over The Years

I think the world collectively gasped when this was posted last year. Dressed in Ashi Studio, the actor floored all of us with the much talked about saffron taffeta gown. We love tulle almost rose-like detailing on it and think she did a fabulous job wearing it! The orange complemented her eyes and of course the makeup was pot on. 

We now that if there's one Indian designer who could do wonders with her, it is Sabyasachi, and her wedding looks are testimony to that. In 2022, she wore a stunning Sabyasachi saree complete with a headband and makeup that was talked about for days. What we love the most is that before Zendaya and Gigi, it was Deepika who decided to wear a saree on a global stage, taking everyone by surprise. We think the gold and black is regal, with her bold eyeliner and accessories carrying the whole fit. 

Safe to say, she brought peplum back into the conversation last year with this strappy Louis Vuitton gown. The Cartier jewellery is to die for and brings the whole look together so effortlessly. We love the plunge neck-line and the hairstyle. So chic, so clean, and as always, stunning. 

The minute I saw this Alex Perry creation on her I immediately thought of Morticia Addams! Clearly Deepika wore something similar to this later on at the 2023 Oscars, but according to us, this one wins. The clean, sleek silhouette of the off-shoulder, floor-length gown truly fits her like a glove. The jewellery, Cartier again, brings it all together without overpowering the simplicity of the gown. 

Pantsuits became a huge thing in 2022 with Deepika also rocking one. This look designed by ArdAzAei is a stellar. It's so chic, effortless, and the pleated blazer adds all of more style to the whole fit. We love how it leans into the whole minimalism, quiet luxury angle with the statement necklace standing out, just enough. 

One of the most memorable looks from 2022, this white ruffle saree with the pearl body necklace is to die for. It is also this look that started off the pearl trend all over the country with everything from accessories to detailing on shoes being pearl inspired now. For us, this one is a winner with how elegant and regal she looks. It's desi, but so fashionable. 

2018 was a moment for capes. And this one by Zuhair Murad on Deepika Padukone looks like a dream. It's sheer, white, and impeccably detailed, which we love. We love how the sheer fit was way before it's time with us now seeing sheer tickle into the mainstream fashion line now. For us, this could even pass off as a wedding gown and we'd be glad! 

2018 was also a year of tulle and poof dresses. This super vibrant valentino pink gown by Ashi Studio worn by her in 2018 was not only bold, it was also not everyone's cup of tea. And even though she might've got trolled a bit over it, it doesn't take away from how stunning she looked in this couture ensemble. 

With a very regal 90s vibe, we loved the bold lipstick and beach waves on her. The dress is intricate with lots of details and even thought it might look like a regular evening gown, it still is one of her more memorable looks from Cannes.

But it is also one of the gowns that got people talking about her, especially at Cannes. We love the high bun, smokey eye moment with the statement earrings, and don't mind her re-purposing this.
