10 Films You Can Stream RN That Will Make You Happy

Jack Nicholson will never get old (or do I only ever remember seeing him old?), anyway, Something’s Gotta Give is a heartfelt comedy-drama about Jack Nicholson not acting his age (like we care), falling in love with a young woman (Amanda Peet) and ends up with feelings for, *Drumroll* Diane Keaton (second character in the movie who doesn’t seem to age). To add to the drama, we have a dashing Keanu Reeves (another character who only seems to be getting younger). Yes! This Disney-Pixar film is, I think, the greatest food movie of all time (there, I have said it). Inspired by a renowned Chef, Remy (the Rat) dreams of cooking French food, however, being a rat isn’t something that humans could ignore. This is the only animated flick on this list and to be honest, it doesn’t feel like it was made for the kids’ {pure poetry - in the words of Remy) Stream it on Netflix here.

Hahahaha... Man, I can’t help but laugh every time I think about it. For all the high-fives Harry {Jeff Daniels} & Lloyd{Jim Carrey}  missed and because we are missing friends the most, this slapstick and a goofy tale of their utter stupidity will do a great job of bringing smiles to your faces. Created by the very talented Seth MacFarlane (of Family Guy fame), Ted is a tale of every child’s wish coming true. But that’s where anything relatable to child-like scenario stops and starts a very mature, almost profane {read outrageously obscene} story of John (Mark Wahlburg) and Ted, a teddy bear who is alive, going around the world post their initial fame, thanks to the very alive Teddy bear. The very first Home Alone movie was simply brilliant. While we imagined a sign of newfound courage in Kevin’s (Culkin) schemes to deter the robbers and had a good laugh in the process, it also draws parallels to our current situation of being stuck at home and how we fight boredom. Stream this laugh-out-loud, albeit slightly unrealistic, but forever-fun-pic on Hotstar here.

Every single movie in the Ocean’s series, I believe, is simply awe-inspiring. From the very talented Steven Soderbergh, these 3 part-edited heist movies are every bit fun, adventurous and somehow, have us rooting for the robbers. Watch them all on Netflix here.

Another classic from Jim Carrey because when it comes to comedy, there are very few, who are better. It’s a story of an attorney, who is also a habitual liar. What follows is basically a laugh-riot of epic proportions. Stream it on Amazon Prime here.

A heartfelt, and very warm story of 2 women (Meryl Streep and my all-time favorite actor Amy Adams), separated by time, yet intertwined in their love of food, is a must-watch if only to inspire some much-needed home cooking. Stream it on Netflix here.

Jackass The Movie is absolutely hilarious, and offensive at the same time. This documentary-style movie will have you controlling your laughter with every passing minute, albeit at the expense of Johnny Knoxville and the crew. I must warn you, this movie is strictly for mature audiences, and you may absolutely detest it. So, if you still want to go ahead, stream it on Netflix right here.

I know, I know, there may be better movies out there, but I feel the first Munna Bhai movie was heart-warming. Great story, along with amazing performances from Arshad Warsi and Boman Irani makes it very rewatchable. Stream it now on Netflix here.
