I was on cloud nine when my first Goa trip came true. Needless to say, the explorer in me thoroughly researched anything and everything to get the most out of the entire weekend that I stayed there. But instead of relying on generic Google searches, I went straight to the pros—my friends who practically live in Goa, going once or twice a year (lucky, right?).
When I finally set foot in the Pearl of the Orient, I skipped the touristy spots packed with people and instead stumbled upon some hidden gems that absolutely deserve the spotlight.
I know, I know—some might want to keep these places hush-hush to preserve their serenity (especially in North Goa, where peace can be hard to find), but I just can’t gatekeep all this goodness anymore and let's face it, it's not LBB's style to gatekeep.
So, here it is, your ultimate guide to where to stay, what to eat, and places to visit in Goa!
The Best Time To Visit Goa:
Goa’s peak season has always been from October to February when the scorching summer heat takes a backseat (though it's still humid, so be ready for that). But fair warning: the crowds will be out in full force!
Lately, people have started venturing to Goa during monsoon season. Here's a little insider scoop—those who visited in June or July usually don’t recommend it since the water levels are too high to enjoy the beaches in all their glory. Yes, it will be way less crowded, but there is a reason why people are avoiding it.
That said, I visited in August and had the greatest time of my life. The rain had stopped, the weather was breezy and pleasant, and the water levels were just right. I was able to enjoy the beach, especially the sunsets with no people blocking my view. I don't think there is a better time to visit that place now, but you do you!
