Lap And Dado
I will always recommend Lap and Dado for sofas! They specialise in functional, contemporary furniture with the most elegant sideboards and minimalistic tables. They use materials that are durable, sustainably sourced from suppliers that are responsible.
SAR
Check out SĀR Studio if you like unique and artistic home decor. I've got the Paffee chair from them, and it's incredibly comfortable. Other than this they're also known for beautifully crafted, functional art pieces that elevate any space.
Baro
If you're looking for great seating options, then there's also Baro! They're mainly known for their beautiful, and meaningful home decor with a focus on handcrafted objects. Each of their products are made of reclaimed teak that also promotes sustainability.
Port Side Cafe
Another gem for leather chairs, furniture and interesting accent pieces. Port Side Cafe specialises in leather stuff and do it so well with the handstained leather, nice metal finishing and unique stitching that each piece can easily become an heirloom to pass on.
J & R Guram Official
Campaign furniture is super niche and looks fab when paired with other styles of furniture when there's wood and leather in play. J & R Guram do amazing stuff, especially the chairs and some OG campaign pieces like a hat stand or a wine cooler or a field bar (yes, it's supposed to be carried along) if you fancy.
AKFD
A Jaipur based brand that does bombdotcom home decor, furniture and even lighting but I personally am sold over their chairs and tables. Their aesthetic is simple, neat and some pop of colour here and there. The quality is extremely good too, good stuff! Oh, they also have sister brand named Anantaya that does fab Indian-inspired decor and tableware that looks really luxurious.
Spin
I love Spin for their functional furniture with modern designs. Its a no-frills zone so don't expect OTT designs. They have outdoor furniture also, which is equally great!
Serendipity Delhi
They have Indian-ish, unique and cool furniture pieces. Lots of prints and different fabrics for your upholstery and you can even score vintage finds here if you are lucky.
The Raj Company
Elegant, regal and vintage-inspired, the furniture at The Raj Company in Mumbai is great for that old-school vibe. The detailing for each of their carved pieces is insane and the fabrics they use is also luxurious. Worth every hassle and penny.
Balaji’s Antiques
Old is gold where home decor is concerned, and Balaji's' founder shares the same enthusiasm as me for this subject. He's super active on WhatsApp so any time you have any queries or requests for antiques (especially lighting), feel free to reach out to him.
