Ready, Set, Binge: OTT Releases We're Excited For In The Month Of December!
A Nonsense Christmas With Sabrina Carpenter
Sabrina Carpenter has been a pop culture highlight of 2024, and its only fair that she ends the year on a high note! The 'Espresso' singer is organising a holiday variety special with Netflix, performing her EP Fruitcake with some of her other chart toppers. What we are most excited about is the featured duets with Chappell Roan, Tyla, Shania Twain, and Kali Uchis, and will also include appearances from Nico Hiraga, Quinta Brunson, Cara Delevingne, Kyle Mooney, Megan Stalter, Sean Astin, Owen Thiele, and Jillian Bell. Its going to be a star-studded special, packed with sweet melodies, and we are eagerly waiting to watch it over some hot cocoa.

Squid Games - S2
Watching Squid Games altered everyone's brain chemistry, and we are beyond excited for the second season as well. The horror-survival thriller seems to be featuring another round of the deadly game with some similar faces and a lot of new players. The trailer seems to be pushing a lot towards hidden revelations and motivations, with the same unsettling commentary on human desperation and the grips of capitalism. Plus, we are really excited to see more of Hwang Jun Ho.

One Hundred Years Of Solitude
Based on the bestseller by Gabriel Gracia Marquez, One Hundred Years of Solitude is now a movie. And, though we always have our suspicions about books turning into movies, the trailer seems to be getting the skeletal of the movie right, with beautiful-looking frames and great acting. We are excited to see how the town of Macondo comes alive, plus deep dive into the multi-generational saga that Marquez has intertwined so spectcularly.

No Good Deed
Finding your dream house is a marvel of a task, and No Good Deed is all set to bring its complication with a side of pizzazz, mystery, and dark secrets. Starring Lisa Kudrow, Luke Wilson, and Ray Romano, No Good Deed is a dramedy that will unfold the sale of a Spanish villa with three families and the sellers trying to be the right match for each other. The trailer hints at a lot of lurking affairs, hiding truths and consequences, and we are really looking forward to getting amused, binge-watching the whole thing with a bucket of popcorn in our cosy pajama sets.

Mismatched - S3
After two successful, heartfelt seasons, Mismatched is back with S3, and from the teasers, we think they are going back in time. The second season ended with the reunion of the OG couple, Rishi and Dimple, with a hint towards an invisible string theory between the two. The trailer isn't out yet, but we are excited to see a whole lot of whoesome moments between these two, plus more excited to see the journeys of other characters unfold, because we might love them more than the main couple of the show (sorry, not sorry).

Light Shop
On the lookout for your new K-drama? We are definitely thinking of binge-watching the Light Shop, which really caught our eye with its glorious visuals. It's a mystery horror series, revolving around the mysterious light shop that people discover at the end of a dark alley. It seems to represent truths, wills, and crises, giving a haunting insight between life and death, and we have a feeling that its going to be a moving watch, more than the horror.

Jigra
Alia Bhatt's and Vedang Raina's action thriller is all set to be released on Netflix, and if you couldn't catch the drama in theatres, now is the perfect time. The story captures an extraordinary journey taken on by Alia Bhatt to free his imprisoned brother, encapsulating passion, power, and a wonderful arc of redemption, and we have heard that it delivers a wonderful dramatic story that's bound to capture herats.

Amaran
We are huge fans of Sai Pallavi movies! She is truly one of the greats, and Amaran has been one of the most talked about films of this year. Its finally coming to OTT, relaying a heartfelt story of honour, love, and sacrifice as Major Mukund Varadarajan and his wife, Indhu, navigate an emotional romance amidst his rise within the Indian army. This is based on a rue story, and we are planning to watch it with a box of tissue nearby and would highly recommend that measure for all.

Fly Me To The Moon
Scarlet Johanson and Channing Tatum are coming with an old-school romance; and we are pumped to see some sparks fly. This sharp, stylish comedy captures a riveting story about marketing maven Kelly Jones (Johansson), brought in to fix NASA’s public image, which wreaks havoc on launch director Cole Davis (Tatum) and his already difficult task. If you love some mushy drama with a side of cute moments, we definitely adding this to your radar.
