We understand the "new year, new me" pressure, and we're here to help you unwind and nail your binge-watching goals for 2025! Here's a guide to the top 10 OTT releases of January 2025 that should be on your radar. Binge away!

XO Kitty, Season 2

The Covey sibling is back with a new season of her very own rom-com. If she feels familiar, it's Kitty from the To All the Boys I Loved Before franchise. The last season of XO, Kitty saw her navigating high school life at KISS (Korean Independent School of Seoul), where, coincidentally, her long-distance boyfriend and late mother used to study. She sets out to surprise her boyfriend and learn more about her mother’s life, only to find herself entangled in a web of relationship struggles, long-kept secrets, and nearly getting expelled. In this new season, Kitty explores her sexuality and the love triangle between her, Min Ho, and Yuri, with some help from what we can only call the most wholesome cameo yet: Peter Kavinsky, her elder sister's boyfriend! We can't wait to binge-watch this rollercoaster of a rom-com and crush on Noah Centineo all over again. Watch the trailer here

The Night Agent, Season 2

This action thriller, based on the novel by Matthew Quirk, follows low-level FBI Agent Peter Sutherland (Gabriel Basso), who works to save the President in Season 1, earning him an opportunity to become a Night Agent in Season 2. However, the secretive organization, Night Action, demands thrill and risk, both of which throw Peter into danger. This season focuses on Peter uncovering traitors within the government and questioning what it really takes to be a Night Agent. You can watch the teaser here

Reunion

If you're a fan of murder mysteries and classic "who dunnit" scenarios, you'll be hooked on Reunion. The movie follows a high school reunion, where we meet a football star, the school mascot, a hopeless romantic, the class president, a young millionaire, a drunk history teacher, and a cat lady. When the young millionaire turns up dead at the Ridgeview High School reunion of the 2001 batch, the murderer (you guessed it) is one of them. Add in the classic "stuck with a murderer" situation—no Wi-Fi and phone lines are cut. But luckily, everyone heard two distinct gunshots before the murder, and the gun should lead to the killer, right? Easy? As the tension builds, we learn that each of them has something to hide, and the killer is moving through their midst.

Bonus: it stars Nina Dobrev (from The Vampire Diaries), Chace Crawford (from Gossip Girl), and Michael Hitchcock—so there are plenty of reasons to binge this!

Under The Boardwalk

If you're a fan of animated movies and, like us, believe they convey many valuable life lessons, this one should be on your watchlist. Throughout life, we've all been told once or twice to "get out of our shells." This movie, originally released in theaters in 2023, takes that sentiment and weaves a story around it with different kinds of crabs. In the story, timid Jersey crab Armen meets bold tourist sea crab Ramona and falls in love. Both are swept away by a storm and help each other survive, facing their fears as they find their way home. Even though they come from different communities, their hopeful and courageous journey unites their families to live together under the boardwalk. This one definitely deserves a wholesome binge alert!

Shortcomings

Released in 2023, this movie is finally hitting our OTT screens, and we couldn't be happier. The story follows a struggling filmmaker in California whose girlfriend moves to New York for an internship. But all is not as it seems when he flies across to surprise her and realizes she doesn’t work there at all. The trailer shows the film filled with perfect comedic timing and emotional moments that make us realize we often blame the world and everything around us when, most of the time, we're stuck in our own shortcomings. A lighthearted watch, we're excited to enjoy it on a lazy afternoon with some comfort food, because it can get REAL.

Based on the non-fiction book Black Warrant: Confessions of a Tihar Jailer by Sunil Gupta, former superintendent of Tihar Jail, and journalist-author Sunetra Choudhury, the film offers a unique perspective on the life of a jailer. We’re excited to watch this lesser-explored viewpoint, with the teaser promising emotionally charged moments alongside thrilling action sequences.
