With September, the lull part of the year comes to an end. Festivities and celebrations kick off, and there seems to be a general excitement in the air. This year, September is also an exciting and busy month for the box office, as Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Jawan awaits its release. A Shah Rukh Movie is a celebration in itself, and we're obviously eagerly awaiting its release. Other movies like Sukhee, The Nun II, Akeli, and The Vaccine War are also releasing this September. But as much as we enjoy going to the theatre to watch the latest releases, there's something about simply lounging on our couches and binge-watching movies and TV-series. It's a habit that stays with us when we're eating, whenever we have even a little bit of free time or when we're taking time out to sit with our families. And in all of these cases, finding something to watch on the spot is definitely a buzzkill. But you don't have to worry about that, because we did the tedious task of finding out everything that's releasing on OTT in September, and let us tell you, it is jam-packed! Read on.

Jaane Jaan

Bebo is making her OTT debut on 21 September, which is her birthday! And, of course, she looks as ravishing as ever. Netflix promises that the film is ‘a thrilling new adventure,’ and the teaser shows Kareena singing the ‘Aa Jaane Jaan’ song on a darkly lit stage. The film also features Jaideep Ahlawat and Vijay Varma, and is based on the Japanese novel The Devotion of Suspect X by Keigo Higashino. Kareena plays the role of a ‘single mother who becomes ensnared in a deadly crime’ and ‘her neighbour comes to her rescue when a tenacious cop digs into the case…' The teaser promises romance, thrill, and also the charming Kareena Kapoor Khan in a whole new and never seen before avatar. We’re excited!

GEN V

We love the diabolical world of The Boys because it has changed how we look at superheroes, forever. Sure, we love your good-old save-the-world superheroes, but we love them even more if they become capitally controlled, genetically engineered and morally grey. The supes in The Boys are terrifying and terrific in ways that humans have to fight them. Well, a spin off of that same diabolical world, Gen V puts all that in a high school setting. These young superheroes know that their powers were injected in them, and they do everything to put it to test. As if the lives of humans in high school were not jam-packed with hormones and competition enough, now we'll see what happens when these morally grey and exceptionally powerful superheroes go to high school.

The Continental

Set in the New York of the 1970s, The Continental is a prequel to the John Wick series, and that’s about how much we could make out from the trailer that was jam packed with jaw-dropping action. As you may have guessed, the name The Continental comes from the Continental Hotel in New York City, an institution that is almost like a recurring character in each John Wick film. The series will explore the origin behind the iconic ‘hotel for assassins’ through the eyes of a young Winston Scott, the enigmatic man who runs the hotel in the present-day John Wick series.

Sex Education Season 4

After the mini reunion of the sex education cast the Barbie movie, and seeing Emma Mackey in an unbelievably fresh role as 'barbie' (who would've thought?) Sex Education is finally back for its fourth season. There's a bittersweet excitement in the air about this, since this is the final season. Yes, its the last time we'll see the adventures of Otis, Eric, Aimee, Maeve, Adam and more as they move to a new school, Cavendish Sixth Form College after Moordale closes down. And let us tell you, Cavendish is not your generic school that needs Otis for sex education—they are as woke as it gets! Sounds fun, doesn't it? That's not all, Dan Levy, our Schitt's Creek favourite is joining the series as a cult author, who's teaching Maeve at a prestigious university. We love it when our favourite shows cross paths!

Scam 2003 - The Telgi Story

Scam 1992 was a sensation, and its iconic tune was all over our socials. Consider our delight then when we get to hear the same tune in the trailer of Scam 2003, with Hansal Mehta bringing back that experience once more! Scam 2003 - The Telgi Story is 'The story of India’s Biggest stamp paper scam and the man behind it - Abdul Karim Telgi!'

The trailer refers to the previous season narrating how India's biggest financial scam of 5,000 crore in 1992 was followed by a scam so huge that zeroes ran scarce. This time, the game is bigger, and stakes higher—think 30 thousand crores. The trailer ends with 'kuch daring to karna padega na darling,' we are already at the edge of our seats!

No Hard Feelings

If you're a little overwhelmed by all the crime and suspense thrillers and are wondering where the hell the good-old comedies are at, this one's for you. If you simply want to shut down your brain and laugh through an entire movie, No Hard Feelings, starring Jennifer Lawrence, should definitely be on your list. A sex comedy, the story revolves around Maddie, a bartender who's down on her luck and a wealthy couple who hires her to date their socially awkward son. Love At First Sight

What are rom-coms if not wildly optimistic, testing the limits of serendipity real hard? And that is what we love about them, after all. Love At First Sight is as cliché as it gets—meet a cute stranger on the plane (me when?), fall in love, get their number...and then lose it! Starring Ben Hardy and Five Feet Apart actor Haley Lu Richardson, the movie will see Hadley and Oliver trying to defy all odds as they try to find each other again after losing the number they exchanged. If you think about it, finding a stranger you just met on a plane without having their numbers seems impossible. But we're told that there's a solid 0.2% chance of that happening and Hadley's not going to miss it.
