To be honest, we've only heard of people visiting Mohali to watch a cricket match at the Mohali Cricket Stadium, now known as the Inderjit Singh Bindra Stadium or I.S. Bindra Punjab Cricket Association Stadium, which is one of the country's most prestigious stadiums. Aside from that, we haven't heard or seen anyone heading to Mohali to explore (unless they are visiting Chandigarh). So, we decided to fill the void by helping you plan a trip to Mohali that includes more than just watching the live match and exploring other attractions.

Fateh Burj

Of course we had to start with the most popular tourist attraction we came across. Fateh Burj is situated in the outskirts of Mohali, a 140 kilometres from Amritsar and 20 kilometres from Sirhind. The 328 feet tall tower is dedicated to establishment of the Sikh Misls in a large part of Punjab in 1711. It is the tallest victory tower in India and was completed in 2011, and since then, has become one of the most prominent tourist spots in Punjab.

Located on the Mohali Stadium Road, Amb Sahib Gurudwara is a tourist-packed religious spot. It is said that Guru Har Rai Sahib Ji had performed a miracle here and grew a mango tree in the gurudwara, so that Bhai Kooram could serve mangoes to his guru. Today, the tree still exists and deities visit the gurudwara to seek blessings.

Gurudwara Sant Mandal Angita Sahib is at a walking distance from Amb Sahib Gurudwara and is another religious tourist attraction in Mohali. The three-level white structure is a marvel on its own and offers a spectacular sight in all its glory. The marble shines under the daylight and is usually packed with visitors during the day time.

Thunder Zone Amusement Park

If you are visiting during non-winter months, do not skip this! They have land as well as water slides but we think the the main water-based attractions take the cake here. They have a slide pool, a wave pool, an activity pool and a kids pool. It also features Hira Kari and a large dome slide. Thunder Zone's amusement park section offers some nostalgic rides like the caterpillar, music bob, splash, striking cars, mono train, aerial runway, and more.
