She said, "As someone who only shopped from fast fashion, Instagram shops led me to brands that are unique, homegrown, which means they are all made in India, crafted by artisans and some of these brands even tell you about the artisan(s) who made your product. There’s a sense of sartorial intimacy when you shop from small indie brands, and that’s what keeps me going back to them. These brands nudge me to shop mindfully (given the price point), so I curate and add pieces to my wardrobe that are classic and timeless and can last me for at least a decade. Not to forget — reworked and restyled in multiple ways. This is my way of encouraging my community to shop less, be mindful and make an impact on the local economy when one decides to splurge."
