Most of our fab summer workout routines take a hit in the monsoon, especially if you're someone who likes working out outdoors. The cool breeze, sight of the first rain and cooler temperatures instantly put us in the mood for chai and pakoras, and not necessarily that morning walk. But if you're committed to your fitness regimen, invest in waterproof workout gear that'll keep you warm and dry all at once, while you're out and about. Swap out your heels with fabric uppers, with comfier shoes in water resistant materials. Opt for a flowy silhouette like a georgette saree, or a comfy silk kurta set to take you through the night. Some junk jewellery or oxidised silver jewellery is notorious for bleeding colour or giving you an itch when it comes into contact with water, so try to avoid these materials. If you're attending a big function or a wedding that requires you to wear something heavy, there's always a trusty trench to keep you dry (which you can take off later on).

Heading out to get some mundane shopping done or run errands? You'll need something fuss-free that doesn't get in the way of your tasks while also keeping you dry. Dresses are always a fun option since they come in so many cuts and can compliment a wide range of body types. Choose midi length dresses or skirts over maxi dresses to avoid spills and stains. If you're feeling cold, you can always add a light tee or pullover to work as a top, and finish the look with comfy shoes. Add in some strappy flats, and you're good to have a day of completing tasks comfortably.
