Let's face it. We all need a Lady Whistledown (a Bridgerton reference in case you missed it) who would tell us exactly what celebrities, influencers, founders, movers, and shakers have in their little black book. We decided to be that person and shine the spotlight on Rod Anker, a celebrity hair stylist and founder of Rod Anker Salons. Working with high-profile celebrities, including actors and musicians, he is also a regular columnist for various fashion magazines. Crowned the hair colourist of the year 2012, he is also the co-founder of Off Days Hair and is a delightful trendsetter for all things hair! We talked to Rod Anker about his favourite things, and this is what he said.
A Few Of Celebrity Hair Stylist Rod Anker's Favourite Things
Overview
Favourite Homegrown Haircare Brand
I’m going to say ours: “Off Days Hair Care." We wanted to use Indian ingredients to develop a hair product that was exactly what a hairstylist would love and your hair would, too.
Pro Tip: You'd love these homegrown haircare brands too!
Favourite Travel Essential Brand
Mokobara. They have a range of well-made cases that are fantastically sturdy, and we have almost all of them.
Pro Tip: Get your next travel luggage buddy here!
Favourite Footwear Brand
Adidas is my go to, but converse is my pick for comfort for sure!
Favourite Homegrown Fashion Brand
Huemn. I love their T-shirts, both graphic and printed.
Favourite Travel Destination
I love visiting Rajasthan. My favourite place to stay there has to be Aman Bagh. It is a haven of peaceful luxury that gives you clarity in unobstructed surroundings. It’s my go-to!
Pro Tip: Jaipur in a day? This guide will help you!
Favourite Hair Colouring Style
Baby balayage is my thing. I love it as it is not obnoxious, feels natural, and is low maintenance.
Favourite Eyewear Brand
Persol. I love the way their products feel solid but not overly branded.
Favourite Street Food Spot In Delhi
Defence Colony Super Chaat: I don’t typically go, but when I have a craving, that’s my go-to place. That, as well as the Dadu Cutlet shop in CR park for samosa, they are super delicious!
Pro Tip: This guide will help you nail street food hopping in Delhi.
Favourite Haircare Essentials
Off Days, sulfate-free, paraben-free, shampoo and conditioner, as they also maintain the longevity of the colour of your tresses. I also recommend using a hair serum, as it closes the cuticle and gives your hair heat and UV protection. If you are looking for a serum that doesn't weigh down your hair, I recommend the Off Days Hair range.
