15 Classic Rom Com Movies That You Can Watch On This Valentine's Day

One of the best and most recognisable rom-com movies on Netflix, Notting Hill lives in our hearts and minds rent-free. The plot revolves around William, played by Hugh Grant, a British bookseller who meets and falls head over heels for a high-profile American actress, Anna, played by Julia Roberts. But, of course, things get complicated with their social status coming in the way. This movie is beyond wholesome, makes you cry and leaves you with a tinge of hope that everything is possible. It has given us some iconic dialogues that fill our hopeless romantic hearts.

This is undeniably one of the best rom-coms on OTT. The movie is fun, charming and follows the classic romcom tropes, which we love and keep going back for.

The story is engaging, with great actors, and up there with the best of the best romantic comedies. Bonus: Jude Law, being the perfect example of men written by women, is absolutely dazzling in amazing cardigans.

One of our favourite movies of all time, 10 Things I Hate About You, is a classic high-school romance movie starring Julia Stiles and the late Heath Ledger. She takes matters into her own hands by paying a mysterious boy, Patrick, to woo her elder sister. Will this Sylvia Plath-loving high schooler fall for her sister's love trap, or is she smarter than that?

Complete with a series of unfortunate events, a cute kid and the OG proposal scene, this one is a Tom Hanks, Meg Ryan sap fest, and we love it. When Meg Ryan said, "What I really don't want is to end up wondering what might have happened, knowing I could've done something", she turned something inside us, and it shall forever remain etched in our memory.

This stars Jennifer Garner as a 13-year-old Jenna wanting just the thing all of us wished for when we were sulky teenagers- to be a grown-up. Amidst all this chaos, Jenna finds herself falling for Mark Ruffalo's character, Matt and gives us one of the cutest rom-com scenes with their 'Arrivederci' and 'Au revoir' banter.
