If you've ever been to Soho House, Mumbai, you would know that they fully embrace the 'change is the only constant' philosophy, especially for their menus. Their menus have never been static, and in a bid to maintain that reputation, they have launched a new menu — Lucky House. This one's yet another turn in a deliberate programme of seasonal concepts, visiting chefs and focused takeovers that reflect how members want to eat and linger. Head Chef Gautam Mehta has framed the food in this one as part of a larger Soho House practice: menus that are seasonal, ingredient-led and formed around a clear identity. This is comfort food that also travels a global arc.

The Idea Behind Lucky House

The idea behind the menu is simple and effective: make dishes and drinks that people can sit and talk over for hours. Basically, invite conversations and sharing. This member's menu reads like a long dinner among friends, a menu designed to be ordered together and enjoyed at the table.

From small plates to shared meals, you'll get everything here and then some. Start with dishes that land quickly and set the tone. Expect truffle gyoza, chicken wontons, char siu bao and gochujang cauliflower meant to be passed around. Noodles and rice sit at the centre of the menu, with options such as khow suey, Vietnamese pho and Pad Thai that can be dressed with protein or kept vegetarian. The menu then moves to the wok and the grill, where bolder flavours arrive. Korean bulgogi, Balinese salmon and group-sized plates such as wok-fired lobster noodles and a steamed whole fish are built for sharing.

Drinks & more

Taking the menu up a notch are its drinks. The cocktail list is curated by Bar Manager Zanngasung Tungshang and follows the same pan-Asian thread. Yuzu, matcha, Sichuan pepper, jasmine, umeshu, and Japanese whisky feature across highballs. The choice of highballs is a neat design decision as they are clean, easy to return to and suited to a long meal. These spirit-forward signatures are built to complement spice, smoke and umami rather than compete with them.

Additionally, Lucky House also continues Soho House’s habit of inviting guest chefs and staging pop-ups. Expect collaborations with regional specialists and international names, including Michelin-awarded Chef Chalee Kader.
