Erected in honour of Sardar Patel (Vallabhai Patel), who was one of the leaders of the Indian freedom struggle and served as the deputy prime minister and home minister of the country, the Statue Of Unity is the tallest statue in the world. At 182 meters, the statue is in a picturesque location, facing the Sardar Sarovar Dam, which is only 3.2 km away. In Vishwa Van, the statue area is green, lush, and beautiful.

What amazes us the most is how the grand statue captures the likeness of Sardar Patel really well. While the statue is itself a great tourist spot, there are so many things to do around the area that you can make a day out of it. Just 3 km away from the statue, Valley of Flowers is a beautiful garden where you can catch seasonal blooming flowers, and the butterfly garden which is only 2.1 km away. You can of course visit the dam, and there is also the Zarwani waterfall 4.3 km away and Naukta Vihar, which is 4.6 km away from the statue, perfect for boating. There's a wonderful light and sound show that happens every evening at the statue except on Monday. You can book your tickets online at the official website, or get them there directly.
