How To Reach The Valley Of Flowers National Park?
Thrill seekers are in for a treat since reaching the Valley Of Flowers requires you to trek your way up. However, before that, your goal is to reach Govind Ghat, a town in Chamoli district, Uttarakhand from from where visitors are required to trek up to the Ghangaria base camp which is some sixteen kilometres away. From Ghangaria, another three kilometre trek leads to the valley.
By road: Govindghat has well-connected roads so you can conveniently reach the start point of the trek by road. It is also well-connected by buses to Badrinath and other major towns as well as cities like Dehradun, Haridwar, Rishikesh, Delhi and many more.
By air: The nearest airport is Jolly Grant in Dehradun. From where you can drive up to Govindghat to reach the valley that starts near a gorge over the Pushpawati River.
By train: Rishikesh has the nearest railway station from where you can catch a bus or grab a taxi to Govindghat.
Best Time To Visit The Valley Of Flowers
It's multicoloured meadows bloom with flowers usually from July to October with maximum number of flowers in July and August, making them the preferred months to visit. The national park is open only during the summer months since it is covered by heavy snow for the rest of the year (say hello to the Himalayas). Since it was also declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, expect there to be a tourist rush always with nature lovers, photographers, and trekkers wanting to enjoy the heavenly view.

Since it's a national park, you have to get your names registered and pay a fee for trekking up. The ticket is valid for three days after which you have to pay a nominal fees for extension of each day.
