What do New York, Berlin, London, Melbourne and good ole’ Bengaluru have in common? Well, on Sunday, Bangalore became the first city in India, to launch its very own logo. This puts the city in the same league as some of the coolest cities in the world. At the launch of the day-long ‘Namma Bengaluru Habba’, several ministers of the State Government unveiled the red and black logo that includes the English and Kannada script.

The logo, which was crowdsourced, highlights the message ‘Be U’ that is aimed at emphasising Bangalore’s cosmopolitan culture. And, the local tourism departments, hopes that it will do its bit to usher in the tourists.
