The BQFF is back again with its 10th edition, starting with a curtain-raiser on July 31, where B Manjamma Jogathi and her troupe - trans women who are followers of Goddess Yellamma - will be performing folk music and dance sequences.
On Thursday and Friday, the event will take place at Alliance de Francaise. Expect to see hard-hitting French films like Nocturama, a story about young, multiracial radicals committing terrorist attacks in Paris. On Friday, at 6 PM, there will be a special one-act play in Kannada/Tamil, by theatre artist and writer, A Revathi.
For the weekend, gear up to see award-winning movies from Iran, Germany and South East Asia at Max Mueller Bhavan. Watch out for films like Transfinite, Yeh Freedom Life, Udalazham and Song Lang. On Saturday evening and Sunday morning, there will be a panel discussion featuring Indian filmmakers.
