Ever wanted a round of guilt-free guzzling, perhaps combined with a fun run? Thanks to city-based startup Sixmad, the fun concept of ‘beer mile’ is back this year. And of course, it's fittingly happening in Bangalore, the beer capital of India. This is where you can participate in a mile-long race, gulping down a beer for every quarter mile completed, all the while standing a chance to win exciting prizes and burn those extra calories. Trust this event to happen in our fine city!
Who Is It For?If you’re one amongst the infinite beer lovers in the city and if you’re really passionate about running your hearts out, then your allies and you ought to take part in this festival. Make sure you carry your ID card, as it’s mandatory to enter. Speaking of which, you'll also have to be 21 years of age or above.
Why Should I Go For It?When else can you walk a quarter mile, drink a beer, then repeat this until you're down four beer and a mile? Besides, it's actualy legit in the world of extreme sports. In fact, the beer mile {based on a sub-culture known as ‘digestive athletics’} might probably be the ultimate test on speed, beer-gulping capability and mental valour. If you’re too lazy to run the classic beer mile, then sign up for the half beer mile {two beers, half mile}. Or perhaps the Team Run {four beers, one mile} would be ideal for a Sunday outing with your buddies. When you're done, no need to lament, there's music, food and even some games to keep you amused. Sounds like a stimulating Sunday, right? We'll drink to that.
