What's Happening

There’s no end to the problems affecting us every day, especially when it comes to traffic, roads, infrastructure, green cover, congestion, you get the drift. But being a proactive city can help address and ease some of that only if someone would listen, and you’ll find them at the Bengaluru Civic Fest. On Valentines Day (pure coincidence), be a part of IChangeMyCity , by Janaagraha (and BBMP) at Freedom Park and celebrate (pro)active citizenship. The fest will see educators, students, community groups, civil initiatives, and civic agencies (so you can hear their side of the story too!), to facilitate and promote collaborations to help make our city a better place to live. There will also be panel discussions, art installations, information booths, and cultural programs to make it a spirited and engaging fest, so everyone’s a winner!

How's The Venue

Freedom Park, the erstwhile Central Jail of Bangalore is now a public space and museum. It sees many cultural, social and political events, rallies and even protests. When not being used as in event space, it functions as a park.
