The Puttennahalli Lake is a freshwater lake and a favourite bird-watching spot amongst the city’s avian enthusiasts and budding ornithologists. In fact, the folks have even set up a website where, till date, they have recorded about 106 species of birds. Some of these feathered friends include Red-whiskered Bulbul, White-throated Kingfisher, and the Brahminy Kite. Early mornings are the best time for bird-watching, so just be sure to bring your binoculars and DSLR camera.
