Set in a quaint bungalow on Cunningham Road, the east-meets-west apparel and accessories, you get at this boutique are equalling interesting.

Bombay To Bangalore

When you think of Bombay {yes, Bombay, not Mumbai!}, what comes to mind. If you’re thinking on the same lines as us, then it should be quirky, soulful, vibrant with a hint of glamour. Correct? Bringing that quintessential vibe to Bangalore, Sarayu Hegde channels the eclectic fashion of Bombay at this charming boutique. A lovely blend of east and west, there’s apparel and accessories {mostly jewellery but that’s really in the periphery} here. But what makes it special is that it’s a curated selection of designers from across India who showcase their merchandise here. Rarely will you find two of a kind pieces here.

Trend Setter

Currently in store is the summer collection of most designers. Think strappy linen tops, maxi dresses to breeze about in and trousers that will make heads turn thanks to out-of-the-box styles. Meant for the edgy woman, we loved the collection from Label 5/9 by Trupesl, especially their range of roomy Galle shift dresses, dressy tunics and chiffon kaftans. Guapa’s is very boho chic so if you can carry off off-shouldered flowing gowns, and flippant peasant tops, head here now. We can’t wait for the collection by Anjali Patel Mehta under her banner Verandah. Apparently it’s all resort/beach wear {read brunch wear for beachless Bangaloreans}. There’s also plenty of day-to-night dresses and tops hitting the racks soon, Sarayu promises. Match up with chunky, tribal or very delicate but distinct jewellery from the limited selection usually dominated by Aquamarine Jewellery.

On The Cards

But fashionistas, what you will be most excited about is their collaboration with city-based designer Raj Shroff {whose designs are inspired by texture and travel} and his brand, Ravage. So come July, you’ll have RAV + Attic to look to for reinventing you wardrobe. After all, how can you possibly say no to easy-to-wear dresses and asymmetrical ensembles to suit your one-of-a-kind personality?
