If you have lived in Bangalore long enough, then you’d know that any vacation you take, you need to factor in the travelling expenses to and from the airport. Well, good news folks, because the Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation {BMTC} is working towards allowing you to book a seat in advance on select air-conditioned city buses, especially those bound to the airport. As per this Economic Times report, the transport service has about 800 air-conditioned buses plying the roads with 90 of them plying to the airport from 12 different routes. Now, if this does become a reality, shelling out excessive amounts to taxi aggregators could become a one-off thing when you are carrying extra luggage.
With the BMTC app getting more than a lakh downloads and the facility of booking tickets online for long distance and intercity state-run services available, this option could make life easier for those making intra-city journeys.
