What Makes It Awesome

With a whopping 80 dishes, two floors of dining space and with the title of the City’s Longest Buffet, there’s plenty to love about Chutney Chang. And it costs only INR 740 for lunch on weekdays (dinner and weekend prices, differ). So much win, right?

The menu is a rotational one, so if you end up there on every day of the week, you’ll have something different each time. Expect of course staples like roti, biryani, salads and noodles — that too, they switch things up a bit. The Indian section is mainly comfort North Indian khana ranging from dal makhani and kadhai vegetables to rich Amritsari chicken and Mutton Rogan Josh (our personal favourite). From the live counters, you can gorge on kebabs — chicken, mutton and fish.

From the Orient expect an authentic version of the cuisine — they have a Chinese chef too. Serious soul food in the form of Gobi Manchurian, Crispy Fish in chilli sauce, vegetable balls in Hunan sauce and even Szechuan fried potatoes. From the live counters, expect endless streams of dim sum (veg and non-veg), kebabs and seafood, to arrive at your table, to be had with their speciality — nine sauces in a customised dish.

They also have live pasta, chaat (try the samosa chaat and pani puri), and grill counters so you can get creative too. A gentle warning though — their dessert section is massive, so leave room for that. They go all out with the dessert bar, it almost looks like Candyland. Honey noodles, chocolate wontons, halwas, and cakes in all sorts of colours and flavours, you’ll be spoiled for choice.

Price: Lunch, Monday to Thursday, INR 740, plus taxes, Friday to Sunday, INR 849 plus taxes; Dinner, Monday to Thursday, INR 825 plus taxes, and Friday to Sunday, INR 900plus taxes.

Pro-Tip

If you are bringing your kids, then they eat at a reduced price starting at INR 370.
