I visited this relatively new place which has opened up in Whitefield on a friday. DJ Aqeel was playing that night which was a pretty good reason as well for going. Coming to the ambience, one word that sums up is - classy. It's beautifully and aesthetically done. They have an open space for the smokers and a dance floor with a bar on the side. You can't ask for more in terms of a setup. It's covered.
Coming to the food & drinks, I tasted the below items . Read on to get a good idea of recommended dishes and drinks.
Drinks :
• Meadow : Made with rum, kiwi puree , pineapple and basil, its a nice drink to start off.
• Liquid Sunlight : The presentation is just awesome. Made with turmeric infused gin, jasmine tea and eucalyptus, it's another stealer. Do ask them to keep the sugar level a bit less.
• Porntini : This one has vodka, dry vermoth, vanilla, elderflower and lemon juice. A light drink.
• Not So Sober : Lemongrass infused vodka, guava juice,lime juice and elderflower, this one has a nice tangy guava kick to it.
• Bowl of Happiness : A community cocktail. Served in a huge bowl with cups attached on the side, it has gin and Champagne as base. Go for it if you are in a group and want to share the drink.
Food : I mainly had the non veg items, however their starters menu is just endless. Too many options for vegetarians as well.
• Kung Pao Chicken : A delicious starter. Not too spicy and goes well with any drink.
• Curried Calamari : Crispy fried calamari. I found it decent.
• Beijing Duck Bites : I am not a big fan of duck, but I liked this dish. It has grilled duck with sweet soy. If you want to try duck, begin here. For the duck lovers, it's a no brainer.
• Dindigul Pepper Mutton : Boneless mutton in a dindigul style peppery masala. Loved it.
• Grilled Garlic Prawns : I am quite reluctant to try prawns at most places because they overdo it. But here it was not the case. One of the good prawn preparations I have had in a while.
MAINS
• Smoked Salmon, Feta and Capers Pizza : I found it average.
• Duck Confit Ravioli with Saffron Creme Beurre Blanc : The name speaks for itself. An excellent Italian dish.
• Meatball Tagine with Couscous : This was quite nicely done as well. Should be tried.
Sadly , I could not try anything in desserts as it got quite crazy on the dance floor. The music was pretty awesome and everyone was on the dance floor. Next time I guess.
Overall, I think they have quite a lot of bases covered. Classy ambience, good dance floor, rocking music, innumerable starter options and drinks to suit all tastes. Head over for an awesome time. Tada!
