What Makes It Awesome

Focussing on serving healthy food without cutting down on the taste factor, FeastLite specialises in a bunch of millet-based dishes to pick from. For those of you who have always considered healthy food synonymous to boring and bland, food delivery company FeastLite’s dishes made with a selection of millets and oats, is all set to bust that myth.

With millets taking centrestage in the preparations, considering how it is a staple in Karnataka, their all-day menu includes oats {which come with veggies or egg in the mix}, as well as stews and pancakes. All thanks to the culinary experiments by Nithya Mehta {the founder} after she quit her corporate job. Made with fresh vegetables and other ingredients and very limited cooking oil, she adds, the dishes might seem like what you’d find on a breakfast menu but are filling and ideal for any time of the day.

While the Corny Spinach Oats {served with a cucumber, pineapple mint salad} is a popular option here, the Jon’s Head and Egg Oats {grated green bell peppers, scrambled egg and oats} is also a favourite among customers, claims Nithya. They also offer Oats Upma if you’re looking for something simpler and more familiar. Stir-fried Pearl Millet, Broken Wheat Vegetable Pilaf and Classic Oats Omelettes are other dishes on offer. Oh, and they have quite a few pancakes too, like Fruit n Honey Oats Pancakes and Pumpkin Oats Pancakes. Can’t do without a South Indian breakfast? They will shortly be introducing Ragi Dosa and Ragi Idli {served with curries, and not the regular chutney, apparently}.
