What’s in a French thali, you ask? And we are happy to report that it is indeed a mix of interesting starters and mains, much like our versatile Indian thali. The good folks at Le Casse Croûte cafe {they also run a popular food truck} have introduced a French thali on their daily menu. The thali {available in vegetarian and non vegetarian avatars} comes with mashed potatoes, creamy spinach puree, Ratatouille, a selection of salads such as wheat salad with corn and olives, and a bean one with garlic and mushrooms. There’s also a slice of bread topped with cheese and spring onions {for vegetarians} or slathered with pork meat, liver and beer pâté {for the non vegetarians} with a side of crunchy cauliflower served with homemade ketchup and cream.
