A handloom saree with a cold-shoulder blouse? Why didn't we think of this sooner?

Maybe because I am from the heartland of India – Madhya Pradesh, Chanderi & Maheshwari are quite close to my heart. The sheer & light fabrics chosen by royals always are such a delight to wear. At one of my meetings with the weavers, I asked them if they could weave me one in a plain solid colour with pop borders. They went one up and gave me a jute palla too. The moment I saw it, I knew this is love. And this is what I wore to #AIFWSS17 day 1. Teamed with a raw silk cold shoulder blouse by @ashpri.co and stunning jewellery from @shopnimai.
