What Did I Like?

Bangalore has such hidden gems, that we end up discovering them on this endless journey in search of good cafes and their great food. The Little Green Cafe is one such hidden gem, that I experienced today, though I had discovered it and had it earlier bookmarked since ages. Apparently, they are in business for the last three months and are a part of the same group that runs The Green Theory.

This restaurant is located on Museum Road opposite Chutney Chang and they're serving cafe style food and much more. The decor here is minimal, yet luxurious in its own way with marble table tops, almost top to toe reclaimed wood floors, walls, and beautiful gold cutlery. An Instagrammers dream, there is a lot of greenery and light.

We did have an overly loud company with us, which kinda subdued after a couple of interventions from the cafe management, but hey such a cool and cozy place does attract a crowd. We just simply began to focus on the food. And what nice food it was, we opted to go for their lunch specials, a combo where you can pick a soup or a drink, an even smaller version of their small plates, and a main. The staff are very courteous and indulge in your requests to customise this combo to an extent.

Having tried their Chilled Avocado and Cumin Soup {which is my absolute favourite} and Mushroom Cappuccino soups in Green Theory earlier, I opted for a Vietnamese Pho Soup, which was a great thin broth with amazing flavours. A soup so good that I had to take back my words that there is nothing called a vegetarian Pho. Maybe my search for the perfect Pho may have ended here.

For the small plates, my choice was to request them for one slice each of their olive and avocado options of Bruschetta. Again a flavourful topping on a super crispy baguette slice, am coming here again just for this.

Main was a whole Wheat Spaghetti with Tomato Ragout, beautiful play of flavours, pasta cooked al dented with a wonderful rendering of that Ragout. These guys upped my expectations from my Italian specialty restaurants of Bangalore.

Portions were decent, almost minuscule for the price.

What's My Pro Tip?

If you love food and are a vegetarian, head straight here, I'm absolutely sure that you will not be disappointed. More so, most of the options are also touted healthy. And did I mention, they have a valet parking, so now what are you waiting for?
