Heading to the ooru
Mad Decent, the American record label owned by DJ and rapper, Diplo, is going global with their popular concert series, Mad Decent Block Party. And, we have much to be thrilled about it because their India tour includes a performance in Bangalore! Presenting some of the best of global pop and dance music, the event's highlight is the main act by popular electronic music group, Major Lazer (co-created by Diplo). We're definitely hoping we will get to groove to their hit single, Lean On.
Blending genres
Also look out for power-packed performances by Gorgon City (a London-based garage duo), Big Gigantic (a Colorado-based livetronica/hip hop band) and Giraffage (an electronic music producer from San Francisco). Adding some dubstep to the mix is Delhi-based artiste, Udyan Sagar aka Nucleya, while Naezy vs Divine (Mumbai-based musician) will treat you to his signature desi hip hop beats.
