While Nossa Goa does Goan classics like sorpotel, vindaloo and balchao, it is the snacks and starters on their menu, that has our attention. For instance, the pork sausage empadinhas {flaky, mini shortbread pies} or even a version stuffed with prawns. Then there are beef or chicken croquettes, and Goan chorizo served in Goan poi or pao {apparently sourced from Goa}. We have also spotted the beef tongue roast in poi on the menu, which is a Goan specialty you should look out for. For mains, there’s plenty of Goan curries such as prawn curry rice, chicken xacuti and pork vindalho, and Goan sausage pulao to be ordered. You can end your meal with a portion of bebinca, Goan caramel flan or a Goan sawdust pudding made with cashew, cream and crushed Mary biscuits. Yum!
