Purple Foodie Is Coming To Town This Summer With Her French Baking Classes

London-based chef, Shaheen Peerbhai aka Purple Foodie is back in India this summer for her bi-annual baking classes. Along with her gourmet baking sessions, expect a class on easy peasy bakes for the noob and eggless desserts too.

If you’re the kind of foodie who spends many an hour browsing through food blogs, you might already be a fan of Purple Foodie. A blog started by Le Cordon Bleu and Alain Ducasse Education-trained {her list of credentials are endless} London-based pastry chef, Shaheen Peerbhai {also one of the earliest food bloggers in the country}, this is where you’ll get to drool over her recipes for baked delights as well as dishes she has tried during her travels. The ace baker also hosts much sought-after classes in Mumbai {her hometown}, occasionally. She will also be making her way to Delhi and Bangalore with a bunch of classes in April. And no, this is not your run-of-the-mill regular cupcakes or muffin-making sessions. Shaheen will be bringing some of her serious French pastry training cred to the table and will help you ace extravagant cakes, bakes and breads.

Shaheen’s classes this time will have four, intense demo-based sessions over two days, covering eggless desserts, easy bakes such as brownie cookies and lemon loaf cake, brunch time treats such as brioche French toast and quiche, and a class dedicated to all kinds of decadent chocolate desserts. From the classic French Opera to deconstructed cheesecake {minus eggs} and your own version of a Nutella spread to a Pear and Rosemary Upside Down Cake, there’s plenty to look forward to!
